Discovery: Magnon interactions in a moderately correlated Mott insulator

Miss Ying Chan (RA), Prof. Qisi Wang, and their collaborators recently published an article in Nature Communications. Using resonant x-rays, they studied magnon excitations in cuprate materials and revealed that quantum fluctuations due to magnon interactions may lead to novel ground states beyond the Mott phase.

Discovery: Large Fermi surface in pristine kagome metal CsV3Sb5 and enhanced quasiparticle effective masses

Dr. Wei Zhang (postdoc in PHY), Prof. Swee K. Goh and their team published an article in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS). The team used hydrostatic pressure to suppress the transition temperature of the charge density wave phase, and successfully detected quantum oscillation frequencies corresponding to large, unreconstructed Fermi surface in CsV3Sb5.
